The value of an AE test, therefore, is not that it can replace an internal inspection.  An AE test program helps the user make better use of resources by deferring inspections on tanks that do not need repair.
	As the pie charts show, you know a certain number of tanks need inspection and repair but it is not easy to determine which ones before going inside.  Proper use of AE testing gives you a much better idea of tank condition for much less than the cost of entry and inspection of a single tank.
